A BABY!!

Letting my blog know that we are having a baby was something I was very excited about... and unfortunately I did it in the MOST un-cool and disrespectful-to-our-unborn-baby way possible! I mean NO baby spends 9 months in the belly dreaming of being introduced into their momma's blog-world because of a sweet-and-sour chinese food/morning sickness incident!
So here it goes,
Im sorry baby. Sweet baby. We were so excited that we flipped our family home evening names over to mom and dad!

Brad and I are so very excited. We both dream about our baby basically every night and Brad is just the best poppa ever to our little one and they arent even born yet! Im starting to puff out, which is really exciting, and I'll put up a picture of that soon:) For now, I just wanted to say some things I think about/have been doing often with regards to the baby.
I will do it in the form of bullet points because I can. Im the boss of this show!
  • I have put my hands on my tiny but growing belly and sang them "Cant help falling in love" approximately 12 times. love Elvis. love Baby.
  • I have listened to every song out there about babies coming into the world.
  • I have worried about being a good mom.
  • I have looked online at cribs, carseats, diapers, toys, childrens books, strollers, and just about everything in between.
  • I have stared at my changing body in the mirror, trying to figure out whats gonna happen next with it.
  • I have felt ugly and gorgeous in the same hour.
  • I have stared into our spare bedroom and tried to figure out the twin bed+crib dillema.
  • I have cried because I want to have more time to sew baby stuff from the book brad got me for christmas... check it out!

  • I have appreciated deeply my own mom, and the tough decisions she had to make at a young age, when starting a family and am so grateful for her choices!
  • I have not slept through the night for months, but I now sort of enjoy it, I feel like its just me and the baby and Brad and even though Brads sleeping, its still so nice.
  • I made the first couple of baby purchases, I know we will get the cheaper kind later but really wanted Burts bees baby bath stuff for special occasions so Brad and I bought these. :) I smell them often. They dont sell the baby powder here which is a bummer but oh well!

Here's a picture of John... we miss him lots and hope our baby is as fun as him... plus everyone loves a good picture of John!
